  • Welcome

A warm welcome to Robin Hood Academy! Our tagline is, “We aim high and reach for the stars”. This applies to our whole school community; pupils, parents, staff and governors alike. Our core values underpin all we do; courage, curiosity and compassion. Through these core values, we ensure high standards, inclusion and memorable educational experiences to ensure our pupils develop a natural curiosity, an enquiring mind, and a lifelong love of learning.

Our EPIC curriculum has been designed to ensure our pupils leave Robin Hood Academy with a diverse skill set and rich knowledge in the fundamentally important areas of Environment, Power, Innovation And Community.  These pillars form the basis for our learning in order to create strong structures for learning to link to. This means that when our pupils move to the next stage of their education, they are knowledgeable about the world around them in terms of geography and global issues. They understand the Monarchy and how this has developed over time and the democracy of the country they live in but also understand power for ensuring healthy relationships. Our pupils will leave us with the skills to problem solve and think outside of the box as they develop a growth mindset and are prepared to take calculated risks to go beyond the ‘norm’ and stand out from the crowd. They also develop a strong sense of belonging and community - from the community within the classroom to their personal communities such as religion and clubs they may belong to. They also go beyond this to understand their local community of Birmingham, their national community of the United Kingdom and the wider global community they have a role to play in.

We know our children achieve best when schools work in partnership with parents and carers.  As a school, we pride ourselves with offering an open door policy, where relationships are valued and nurtured with our families. Our staff are ever visible and work hard with our families to support, challenge and nurture the pupils in our care.

Please enjoy exploring our school through our website which offers a window into the daily life of our school. We welcome visits and would love to show you more in person, so please do not hesitate to contact us and arrange a visit.
