English 📝 - Holiday Scrapbook

In English , we are looking at a poem called Sandwich by Valerie Bloom. In the poem , she describes a school trip by the seaside in which a boy brings in an unusual packed lunch. 4VS, created a scrapbook of day at the beach .

Geography 🌍🌧️What is a flood.?

We simulated how floods occur using turf in a tin to represent the soil , a slope to represent the course of the river and the tarmac to represent the flood plains. The class took great joy being the heavy downfall of rain!

Y3 Centenary Square

Children took 3D screenshots of buildings in our city centre using Google Earth, and then imported them into PicCollage to present what kind of buildings we might find in an urban area.

Y1 Spring flowers

Children used the Pattern Shapes app to create their own Spring flower artwork, choosing various shapes which they coloured, arranged and rotated into position, and finally using the drawing tools to complete their masterpieces.

Year 2 Music!

2GW had lots of fun this week creating music to the story ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. We were learning all about the tempo, dynamics and timbre.
